Group Project Planner

Assign tasks to group members with deadlines, track who has done what, and see the workload balance at a glance; share the whole plan with your group using a single link — everything is stored in the link itself, with no account and no server.

Effort is an optional weight (1–10) for how much work a task takes; leave it at 1 to count every task equally.

How It Works

Assigning and tracking

Add your group members, then create a task for each piece of work; give it a deadline, assign it to a member, and set an effort weight if some tasks are heavier than others. As people finish their parts, flip the status from To do to Doing to Done and press Update Plan to refresh the numbers.

Who owes what

The workload table sums each member's effort and shows how much is still outstanding. The Owes column is the total effort of that member's unfinished tasks — a quick way to spot who is carrying the group and who still has work to hand in. The effort-share bar compares each member's total assigned effort so you can balance the load fairly.

Deadlines

Tasks are listed in deadline order. Anything past its date and not yet done is flagged overdue; anything due within three days is flagged soon, so nothing slips through the cracks.

Sharing with no backend

When you create a share link, the entire plan — members, tasks, deadlines, and statuses — is compressed into a URL-safe, base64-encoded string placed after the # in the address. Because the # fragment never leaves the browser, nothing is uploaded to any server; opening the link simply decodes it back into the planner. Each person who opens it edits their own local copy, so to keep everyone in sync, whoever makes changes should generate and re-share a fresh link.

Tip: Bookmark your share link so you always have the latest plan one click away; the URL updates automatically every time you press Update Plan.
